What is queued mean in Gmail?

The Gmail queued view shows your messages in chronological order, each one with its own back and forward buttons. The default view in Gmail is the inbox, which is where all of your messages are stored when you first sign up for the service.

The term “queued” refers to the messages in your inbox that are waiting to be picked up and viewed. Queued messages are those that you have received but haven’t yet read or responded to. In the Gmail interface, you Queued is Gmail's way of remembering what messages you've put on hold.

Anything you've starred, replied to, or edited is saved in your Queue. When you receive a notification that a message is available, it's added to your Queue, so you can view it as soon as it's available. Queued means that the email is sitting in your Inbox, but it hasn’t yet been read. All of your starred emails are also in the Queue.

Gmail checks for new emails in the background and adds any new email messages to the end of the queue when it sees them. It keeps adding items to the end of the queue until there are messages in the queue. Once it’s full, Gmail will send the messages.
