Mr Albert tienes hambre?

There’s something about the sound of the ‘R’ sound when asking if someone is hungry. It’s kind of cute and makes us all smile, especially when it’s said with a spanish accent. I know, I’m getting a little cheesy, but that’s how I feel about this question.

You might say “Sí, me tengo mucha hambre”, but I’d love to hear you You should always let your Mexican friends know that you like Mexican food if they ask, so when they ask you how you are in Spanish, you can answer with a simple, “Estoy bien en español” and let them know how much you love Mexican food! They’ll definitely appreciate the gesture.

The way the Spanish “r” sound just rolls off the tongue is one of the many reasons why we love speaking Spanish, but it’s not just the sound of the “r” that we love.

We love the way the “r” sound in Spanish resembles the “rrr” sound in English, and the way both sounds make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Mr Albert te vale madre?

When we talk to each other in real life, we use lots of expressions that are very similar to those that we use in Spanish. Have you ever wondered why? Well, it's because we all learned our native languages growing up with the same culture.

Our parents and grandparents spoke the same way and that means that the same expressions that are used in one area of the country are the same expressions used in other areas of the country. This phrase –literally “you are worth a mother”- is used to express how much you are loved and valued. The expression comes from the Latin “mater”, meaning “mother”, and refers to the value of a woman.

It is often used in situations where people are praising others to express their appreciation and care. Using this phrase is a way of expressing that you love a person. And, in order to express this, you need to use some of the most well-known expressions in the world: “por favor,” “si se puede,” “gracias a Dios” and “vale” (“you are worth a mother”).
