How to print grid lines in Excel without data?
gridlines play an important role in any spreadsheet as they provide a guide for the user on how to position the cells. If there are no data in the spreadsheet, you can still use gridlines to guide the placement of your cells.
You can quickly print gridlines using the Page Layout view in Excel. However, the Page Layout view is not available in all sheets. If you have a sheet which does not have the Page Layout view, you can use the Print Gridlines menu option. If you want to print grid lines, but don’t want the grid lines to show the data, you need to set the Print Gridlines option to No before printing the worksheet.
If you didn’t set this option, the grid will include line numbers and data values. If you don’t want to print grid lines that include data, you need to make sure that you have set the Print Gridlines option to No before printing the worksheet.
How to print the whole grid in excel?
If you want to print an empty grid to a document or to an email, you must first set up the grid on your worksheet. To do so, select a range with the grid lines you want to print. If you want the grid to cover the entire worksheet, select the entire worksheet by clicking the worksheet tab.
On the Layout tab in the Print section, click Print and choose Grid from the Print drop-down menu. You can use the Page Layout view in Excel to customize the grid. You can choose the number of rows and columns in the grid, the grid line color, and the color of the grid header and footer.

If you want to print gridlines along with labels, choose the Print Gridlines and Labels option from the Print menu. You can even choose to have gridlines only visible in the printing grid area, and have the labels floating over the grid lines. For printing gridlines without data, you can add gridlines labels to the worksheet using Conditional Formatting.
If you have two separate worksheets, you can highlight one and choose the Print Scaled Print Preview option. Conditional Formatting will then automatically add gridlines labels to the other worksheet.
You can print gridlines with labels in Excel using the Print Gridlines and Labels option from the menu. You can also choose to have gridlines visible only in the grid area, and have the gridlines and labels floating over the grid lines.
How to print grid lines in Excel without label?
If you want to print gridlines in Excel without label, you can use the gridlines option that can remove gridlines from all the worksheets. But, this will remove gridlines from all the sheets including the sheets that contain data. If you want to remove gridlines from all the sheets except the worksheets that contain data, you can use the Conditional Gridlines option.
When you click Conditional Gridlines, Excel will only remove gridlines from the sheets that contain data. Print grid lines in Excel without data is possible using Print Gridlines option.
Just select the gridlines that you want to print and click on the Print option from the menu. You can also select the range of cells that you want to print and click Print. You can also click on the Print option from the right-click menu of the selected gridlines. The gridlines will be printed without any labels.

This will make sure that the gridlines will appear only in this section and not in the entire worksheet. If you don’t want to show the grid lines but still want to see the grid, then use the Page Layout view. Doing so will automatically remove the grid lines and will leave the grid visible but empty.
